To Swim or not to Swim?

Well, Joshua's swimming lessons got off to a less than stellar start: he refused to go in the pool. Perhaps "refused" is too mild a term to describe his vehement, tearful protest. The good news is that after he eventually calmed down, he did sit with a staff member on the edge of the pool and watched his class with interest. David and I watched from afar because parents and siblings were required to stay behind a fenced area a decent distance from the pool. We'll give it another try tomorrow - although the staff member did mention that Joshua confided to her, "I don't think we'll be able to come tomorrow because we have to go to the grocery store."
