Sledding

Grandpa Al, Dad, and Joshua went sledding on the slopes of Shadow Oak. The hills are just the right size for a 15-month-old.

Master Clean

Joshua has continued to broaden his repertoire of cleaning skills. Here he is mopping. He is considering starting his own cleaning-service business. Our only concern is that he put all the proceedings toward his college fund, whereas he would prefer to update his vacuum to the latest model. Posted by Picasa

More cleaning

Nothing like combining mopping with vacuuming. Posted by Picasa

So much to clean, so little time

Winter, Part 1

Winter arrived just in time for Valentine's Day. The DC metro area was wallopped with six inches of a mix of snow/sleet/rain/slush. Four days later, portions of the main interstate are still not cleared. Notice the thick layer of ice coating each branch. Posted by Picasa

Winter, Part 2

Winter, part 3

It's cold out here. Let's go back in. Posted by Picasa

First pun

We are trying to teach Joshua more words. For instance, "Here is a block. Joshua, can you say, 'block?'"

Joshua, "bagh!"

The other night in preparation for supper, I said, "Joshua, let's put you in your high chair. Can you say high chair?"

Joshua, in all earnestness, looked at his chair and proceeded to wave.

It's a good life.

Favorite Pastime

Joshua loves to vacuum. He shows more enthusiasm for this activity than anything else in his life right now. Accordingly, his aunt gave him a vacuum for his birthday. He loves it and vacuums right alongside Mommy nearly everday of the week. Our house has never been cleaner. Posted by Picasa

Dress rehearsal

Joshua donned this suit at his mommy's bequest to prepare for a potential blizzard. Of course, there was no blizzard in sight, but at least he had a chance to wear it before he grew out of it. If he doesn't use it, perhaps David will have a chance. Posted by Picasa

Joshua now begins his day with a look at the local markets and economic indicators. He's after that first million before he's 25. Posted by Picasa
