We love trains!

Turns out my cousin Par's colleague at the hospital is a model train hobbyist in his spare time. Par sent a link to pictures of his layout, which models the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad. It's fantastic! See it here.

Kids at Play

Joseph Maddie

Campbell

Lexi you know him =)

Cam, Bailey, and Joshua
(David didn't make it into a picture today, he was in the photographer's other arm!)

Our care group's play group was at our house today. Joshua nearly slept through the entire event, but he woke up in time for a little sprinkling and digging. The Walkers and Cooleys came so we had four girls, three boys. It was so fun to have so many kids running around (or being carried around in the case of three babies) our yard! David was the oldest of the three babies but definitely the smallest! Poor little guy, I hope he gets bigger before he has to go to school...

All Fours

Mom's not sure she's ready for this! Especially considering the way everything goes in his mouth! But it looks like David is figuring out what he needs to do to crawl. Way to go, kiddo!

Train Ride

At Leakin Park in northwestern Baltimore, a live steam club offers free rides on real miniature trains. Joshua was so enthused about this activity that he never even stopped to eat his lunch! He just wanted to keep riding...and riding...and riding!
Here go Mommy and Joshua at the very back of the train.

Joshua is ready to ride again!

There they go! Choo-choo!

Sir Romance-a-lot

June 7 was the anniversary of our engagement. Chris was in Indiana, but he successfully had a poetical note and flowers secretly delivered to me that evening. The unexpected gift took me completely by surprise and definitely impressed me. He apparently didn't specify what type of flowers, but his collaborator happened to choose a dozen red roses, which happened to be significant in that the only other time Chris has given me a dozen roses was on our engagement. I thought it was a fitting way to remember that special day!

Joshua loved the horses,

and the pony rides!

David was more into eating his shirt.
